The vintage desk is being sold, as is, and the list price reflects its current condition. The table top needs to be restored. Most likely, the purchaser will not be able to re-stain the top. As an alternative, the top could be painted a contrasting color (possible a white or off white). The last picture has an off white canvas drop cloth over the top to provide an idea if the surface was painted. There are minor nicks along the sides of the desk.

Note: The gum colored patches is wood filler the previous owner had applied in earlier attempt for restoration.

The flip side… the drawers are in excellent condition and glide with ease. There is generous storage and includes an open shelf along the rear of the desk for books or display objects. In addition, the unit remains structurally sound and the tapered legs unscrew for easy transport.
