The vintage QR shelving system, made in Germany, is in very good condition. This tension mount design requires no drilling, screws or nails; The provided adjustable hardware easily allows posts to wedge into a standard non-pitched 8 ft ceiling height room. 

The shelving unit provides an array of functions... free standing room divider; a slick bar unit (as shown at a 3 ft width span); a traditional book/display unit; a practical sit/stand workstation; or, a combination of the previously mentioned. The shelves are adjustable (in 1/4 inch increments) with seamless hardware integrated within 2 parallel grooves.

With multiple configurations, the provided posts and shelves can create a system ranging from 2 ft up to 18 ft in width. The substantial 1-1/2 inch thick shelves and posts are made of durable compressed wood with a walnut finish veneer. Please note: the provided pictures only show a few configuration samples and a partial buildout of the entire shelving system.
