Marina celebrated Earth Day on Saturday, April 11th, at Locke Paddon Park.
Last year, I wasn't able to volunteer with the park clean-up :(
Not this year :)
Here are a few pics of the park and a few shots of the dedicated volunteers...
I assisted in the amphitheatre area located on a hill sandwiched between the Marina Library and the pond. This area has one of best vantage points of the park. The task of weeding was made much easier with my trusty weed rake (picked up at a garage sale for $3).
Taking a quick break...
More info on Marina's Annual Earth Day Event can be found on my 2013 Earth Day Blog. In continued celebration, I'll be offering free drought tolerant jade and rosemary cuttings for plant propagation from Friday, 4/24, thru Sun, 5/3, while supplies last at the dunepad. During this period, I'll also be offering a 10% discount on succulents, pottery and plant stands.
Many thanks to those who've made a difference (or plan to) for Earth Day 2015!
